If you've taken a moment or two to read my recent 'Happy Holly-day' post, you'll know that I am really interested in portrait photography both in terms of working out how to actually take a nice image and how to overcome my awkwardness in directing someone sitting for me!
This time it's my friend Sam's turn.
She's equally comfortable in front of the camera and always up for a fun sitting session.
As with my session with Holly, I was able to learn loads of things about lighting and posing and it really wasn't awkward at all. Helped no doubt by the gentle ribbing I was getting from her - she always makes me chuckle.
We had her 50's diner kitchen as the background which added a punch of fun and colour to her images which I'm very pleased with.
And we ventured out in to the cold and used her vintage American car as a prop, resulting in the image below which I love - even though you can't actually see anything of the car!
We've already agreed to do some more images together which - of course - is on hold until we get out of this mess we're all in.
And Sam promises me some of her friends are up for sitting for me too!
Watch this space to see how that all goes!
